The Word Unleashed – Believing in Times of Pandemic

Between March and May 2020, a small chapel in the parish of San Francisco de Borja in Madrid became the headquarters of a large virtual community. In the midst of confinement, a space for celebration was opened. It was part of #athomewithGod, the proposal of the pastoral ministry of the Spanish Province of the Society of Jesus to help people live these long weeks by faith. The daily Eucharist became a place to welcome bread, peace and the word. An open virtual space to feel part of a community and to make a believing interpretation of everything that was happening to us: the pandemic, fear, deaths, social conflict, loneliness, service... This book compiles the homilies and poems of all these celebrations.
