Description
Description
A brief biography of Faustina Kowalska, "the great apostle of mercy" according to Pope Francis, published in the context of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy announced for 2016 by the Papal Bull Misericordiae Vultus. Saint Faustina, a Polish nun who lived at the beginning of the 20th century, experienced numerous visions and mystical revelations in order to spread and renew the cult of divine mercy. John Paul II canonised her in 2000 and proclaimed the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday. The book is complemented by a chronology of the saint's life, a brief bibliography and some subsidies for prayer and meditation.
