Five loaves and two fish

My name is Francis Nguyen Van Thuan and I am Vietnamese. For eight years I was Bishop of Nhatrang, in central Vietnam. Then Paul VI promoted me to Coadjutor Archbishop of Saigon. When the Communists came to this city, they told me that my appointment was the result of a plot, and three months later I was arrested: it was the day of the Assumption of Our Lady, 15 August 1975. Released after 13 years, I would like to share with you my experiences: how I encountered Jesus in every moment of my daily existence, in discerning between God and His works, in prayer, the Eucharist, my brothers and sisters, in the Virgin Mary, offering you also, like Jesus, five loaves and two fish.
