Hell faces hopelessness

Today, this term refers primarily to the horrible suffering that can occur on earth. Hell after death is no longer scary: for many Christians, we will all go to heaven, as the song says. But the Gospel alerts us to the unforgivable fault, the sin against the Spirit, and calls us to the courage to be afraid in order to remain active in life, from here and after death. Leaving aside received ideas, this book offers a renewed language about hell. It confronts this crucial mystery taking into account the most recent criticisms and drawing inspiration from what the saints say. We emerge from this reading different, better armed against the struggle of hope.
