Have we lost our senses? In search of the believing sensitivity

The temptation of the virtual world, the culture of appearances, the challenges of everyday life... can be successfully faced if we root our senses and sensitivity in intelligence and mature affectivity; if we praise God through our senses and sensitivity. He is with those who "feel" in his name; with those who give attention and care in his name. The senses and sensitivity are the ways we have at our disposal to perceive reality: from the simplest reality to the very reality of God. They belong to us to make "reality and God" resonate within us and then to make us return to reality and to God with an expanded heart. Due to the progressive disappearance of sensitivity from our spiritual baggage, we needed to be led by the hand to rediscover psychologically, philosophically and theologically what is most peculiarly human. A rigorous and at the same time enjoyable reading base structures the book, whose author introduces us, thanks to a core of definitions and clarifications, to various types of sensitivity and then brings us to the sensitivity of God. The second part of the volume is entirely oriented towards formation through the invitation to cultivate the senses, one by one, in the light and warmth of spirituality, and concludes with the proposal of a solid formative itinerary of sensitivity.
