Mary and her Christian journey, a maternal companion on our journey

This book is concluded by Monsignor Jesús Sanz from the Sanctuary of Covadonga on the feast of the Annunciation, during the confinement imposed by Covid-19. In this unexpected circumstance, God presents us with a double challenge, captured in two imperatives from the life of the Virgin that run through the pages of this book: rejoice and let it be done. The joy that is proposed to us does not come from favorable circumstances, nor from a naive temperament..., but from the authentic experience of knowing that we are accompanied by a God who is with us and with the brothers and sisters we have at our side. And it is Mary's response - "let it be done" - that must inspire our daily life. The Christian itinerary of the Virgin or via Mariae leads us to recognize our history in hers. Mary is given to us not only as a paradigmatic example, but also as a sweet companion and mediator of all graces. From there begins the reflection of the Church on Mary, with the four traits or dogmas that refer to her. A faith that translates into true devotion, in which there is also a cultural perspective of Christian anthropology that places women in their proper place alongside men, both in the image and likeness of the Creator.
