Death and Searches for Immortality

From the outcome that death poses to conscience, arises the human intuition that life must have meaning and, therefore, death, as annihilation of the self, cannot constitute the last word of existence, but must be the threshold of entry to the reality of a beyond that can fill with meaning the fundamental questions of the here and now. "Death is located, not on the periphery, but at the center of all human life," writes the author in the introduction to this book that poses a serious and profound reflection on life, starting with death. The author has a PhD in Religious Sciences with a mention in Protestant Theology from the University of Strasbourg; he is a professor at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He is the author of ten books and more than ninety articles in national and foreign journals; his area of ​​development is dogmatic theology.
