Laudate Deum

Eight years have passed since I published the Encyclical Letter Laudato si', when I wanted to share with all of you, sisters and brothers of our suffering planet, my deepest concerns about the care of our common home. But as time goes by, I realize that we are not reacting sufficiently while the world that welcomes us is falling apart and perhaps approaching a breaking point. The reflection and information that we can gather over these past eight years allows us to clarify and complete what we were able to affirm some time ago. For this reason, and because the situation is becoming even more urgent, I have wanted to share these pages with you. Francis
