The migration phenomenon in Chile is now an established fact, although the figures warn of the negative balance between Chileans abroad and foreigners in our country, the increase in immigrants and an acceleration in arrivals in recent decades is undeniable. The majority of foreigners who have arrived in Chile come for work reasons, but not exclusively, which has opened the debate on the legal framework that regulates the entry and stay of newcomers.
