Announcing God as good news today

After a work dedicated to Recovering the Project of Jesus, we now address a topic of vital importance: “Today, to proclaim God as good news.” The evangelist Mark tells us that Jesus went through the villages of Galilee “proclaiming the good news of God.” Without a doubt, the Gospel account reflects a real experience: in the message and action of Jesus, those peasants of Galilee perceived God as something new and good. For those of us who live in the midst of an indifferent and unbelieving society, this fact never ceases to surprise us. How could Jesus announce God as good news? What must happen so that the mystery of God can be experienced today as something new and good? This is probably the key question for giving the right direction to the act of evangelization in today's society.
