Apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared in Mexico to Juan Diego in 1531, to whom she said: "Am I not here, I who am your Mother?" And when the Indian asked her for a sign that the bishop was requesting, She sent him to cut roses on a barren hill. When he took them to the Bishop and opened his cloak, the roses fell to the ground and the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe was miraculously drawn.
