Description
Evil and man were the first two questions that Adolphe Gesché raised in his dogmatic book God for thought. After them, it is God's turn. Although there is currently a heated debate about the real or fictitious content hidden behind the word "God", no one doubts that this word exists. Moreover, this word resembles one of those ancient medals, worn by time, which have almost erased that inscription that one day not so long ago was full of meaning. And it is at this point that it is perhaps appropriate to remember Plato's maxim about the things that are worth spending time on in this life. Thus, the disciple of Socrates commented to the young people of his time: "The most important thing is to think correctly (orthós) about the gods" (Laws X, 888 ab). More than two thousand years later, the anthropological revolution has invited us to turn to man to try to find in him the trace of God. But, given its results, it may be more profitable to seek God in His native place – where man has struggled with Him – to learn from God Himself who He truly is.
