Father Alberione

Blessed James Alberione (1884-1971), founder of the Pauline Family, was a man of God, docile to the Spirit and eager to carry out the mission he had received: to evangelize through an “apostolate of publishing,” taking the apostle Paul as his model. This is how Paul VI describes him: “humble and silent, tireless, always vigilant and collected in his thoughts, which went from prayer to action…, eager to scrutinize the “signs of the times”… He gave the Church new instruments for expressing herself, … to strengthen and expand her apostolate, new capacity and new awareness of the validity and possibilities of her mission in the modern world and with modern means.”
