Jesus, my Lord

What human words can adequately portray Jesus? Those that the apostolic Church has given us in the four gospels, which constitute the core and centre of Sacred Scripture, are not only human, because they have the breath of the Spirit and continue to breathe it for the good and joy of present-day readers. In the three volumes already published by the author Why did Jesus die? Initiation to the Gospels, his work has moved on the firm ground of the biblical text. "I disappeared after the search to discover the figure of Jesus drawn in the gospels." In this new book, however, Sergio Silva ss.cc. enters fully into the quicksand of his personal and subjective relationship with Jesus, with no other point of support than his experience of faith, nourished by the faith of the Church. This is what the author tells us: "Such a personal view of Jesus may be a weakness of this work, but at the same time perhaps also its great strength, because it can encourage readers to explore within themselves who Jesus is for them, the Lord whom they follow."
