The joy of living the faith

The Joy of Living the Faith is the title chosen by Archbishop François-Xavier Nguyên Van Thuân (1928-2002), who was President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, for the series of talks published here. They were collected by some young people who had the privilege of attending them in person. They are texts given on various occasions in order to educate his beloved compatriots in the faith, whom he met in different parts of the world. According to the author himself, this book represents a kind of general, simple and humble synthesis of his experience of faith. By publishing these writings by Cardinal Van Thuân, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, through its teaching of faith and its message of love and forgiveness, hopes to foster a new spring not only for the Vietnamese people, but for the entire Church.
