The Crisis of the Church in Chile

The studies presented in this publication by Ediciones UC are dedicated to delving into different aspects of the Church abuse crisis in Chile. The authors are mostly part of the UC Commission for the analysis of the crisis of the Catholic Church, a multidisciplinary commission whose work was reflected in a report presented in September 2020. On this occasion, the academics are making an effort to delve deeper into the topics discussed there, taking into account the enormous complexity of the phenomenon. These texts are part of the work of the UC Commission for the analysis of the crisis of the Catholic Church, a multidisciplinary commission of sixteen academics convened by Rector Ignacio Sánchez at the end of 2018, which had the purpose of analyzing the crisis of the Church.
