The Healing Power of Mysticism – Spiritual Liberation for All

More and more people are looking for a solution to their problems in things that do not have the power that many imagine. They put their hope in esoteric objects, scented essences, energetic stones, crystal pyramids, golden bells, oriental bowls. None of this colorful and expensive variety reaches the root that needs to be healed. These “energies” cannot penetrate the innermost part of the human spirit, where sadness, fear, anguish, disappointment, anger or the pain of abandonment originate. Víctor Manuel Fernández proposes another path: the one followed by the great spiritual sages. They show us the essential things to live better, because they have touched the center of life. This book does not attempt to explain the great steps of the mystical life, nor the spiritual stages that a person can go through, but rather to gather from the writings of the mystics some lights that show us paths of liberation and healing: useful contributions for everyone, beyond the inner situation in which we find ourselves or the moment we are going through. They are not “easy recipes for feeling good”, but rather more ambitious and realistic proposals that help us live our own life with dignity and integrity. Some of the texts that will be collected belong to Saint John of the Cross, Saint Augustine, Saint Teresa, Saint Bridget and Saint Francis de Sales, among others.
