Minister of Communion

The book “The Minister of Communion” is specifically intended for ministers dedicated to the service of the suffering body of Christ, who exercise their apostolate in the difficult field of the dark areas of human existence: pain, suffering, disability, agony, death and mourning; and in the greatest temple of Christianity: the suffering man. Here we consider the doctrinal, disciplinary, liturgical and pastoral aspects that the minister must always take into account in order to exercise an apostolate with quality and warmth, under the model of Jesus, the good shepherd, the good Samaritan. We hope that these pages will help the bearer of the sacramental Christ to intensify his or her specific identity, to revalue such a great gift received, to link himself or herself with greater communion to his or her pastoral team, to grow in the spirituality of a progressive configuration of Christ, to be formed in a healthy relationship of pastoral help, to present in a qualified manner the redemptive mystery of the suffering and risen Christ, and to enjoy the free exercise of ministry to which the Church has called him or her.
