Monastic Works and Texts II

In this second volume, Editorial Avgvstinvs and Editorial Ciudad Nueva, in co-edition, offer the continuation of the editorial project Monastic Works of Saint Augustine. The books of Saint Augustine published in volume I are followed in this volume by the remaining monastic works of Saint Augustine: The Rule, and the monastic texts that we find in the Confessions, in the Letters and in some other works of Saint Augustine. The collection of this entire Augustinian anthology on consecrated life is closed by the inclusion of The Life of Saint Augustine, by Saint Possidius, who has faithfully transmitted to us numerous and valuable news about his teacher Saint Augustine, as the founder of several monasteries and himself consecrated to the Lord in this new form of religious life in the West. The Augustinian texts are preceded by introductions and accompanied by notes by renowned Augustinian Recollect Augustinians. This volume II also includes the onomastic and subject indexes of both volumes, to facilitate the search for those topics that may be of interest to the reader.
