Description
The priest, like any person, is always under construction, never fully finished, neither from a human point of view, nor from a spiritual or vocational point of view. Sometimes his weaknesses are more visible, but these do not necessarily mean an inability to live the ministry. Gérard Daucourt is aware of this reality, which he knows from his own experience. First as a priest, sharing the ministry with his brother priests, and then as a father and pastor in various French dioceses. At the end of his episcopate he wrote this suggestive work, in which he invites us to rethink our own following of Jesus. A text that is incomplete, to which each reader must contribute his data and experiences, as well as the certainties that arise from the exchange with his brothers in the presbyterate. A work, in short, that encourages bishops and lay people to take care of their priests.
