Among the classic works of Saint Augustine are the 124 Treatises on the Gospel of Saint John, lively dialogues that he maintained with his faithful in Hippo during the year 416. Those homilies, collected by the stenographer and revised by Augustine himself, are the ones that are now offered to us translated into our language.
