Teresa of Calcutta – Mother of the Poor

Mother Teresa gave to the forgotten of the earth, to the hopeless of humanity, what no one else was willing to give them: the recognition of the inalienable value of their human dignity, the right to be looked upon and helped. There will never be enough to know about the life of this distinguished woman who left an indelible mark on the life of the Church and on the world, manifesting new dimensions and scope of charity, of love for God made loving and free service to the poorest. It was not only her hand extended to the poor, but also her voice, a clear and powerful voice that even the powerful of the earth should have heard.
