Let's go to the other shore

Religious life is currently being questioned and shaken by a secularised and de-Christianised society. Does this mean that it has nothing more to say, that it can no longer attract or make sense to the young people of our time? Religious life is perfected with every crisis and every conversion. Sometimes new intuitions are born that present themselves as beacons, but they are only symptoms of reaction and of wilful opportunism that believe they are saving religious life, but at the risk of burying the Gospel. In this way, our time calls for leaving behind a view linked to anger, fatigue and fear in order to vibrate and live with joy the vocation and the mission. Between comfort and effort, two visions of religious life are drawn in a dangerous and caricatured way. It is necessary to rediscover the meaning of an intimate conversation, because religious know that fraternal life is their lasting ecosystem. From there, one can cross over to the other shore, as Jesus often said to his disciples, cross over to the other shore to hear his voice which leads to a bold charismatic mobility.
